I am obsessed with Rainbow Weddings!
Another photographer friend of mine recently blogged “if you want something, you have to put it out into the universe”. I couldn’t agree more whole-heartedly with that statement and so I will put my desires out there any chance I get! That’s what a blog is for anyway, isn’t it? These days the internet and the universe are one in the same.
So … Rainbow Weddings! What’s not to love about the idea of a Rainbow Wedding? I bet you’re probably thinking a wedding like that would come across as tacky or too “Rainbow Brite”, but let me fill you in on a little secret … A Rainbow Wedding can be done very tastefully and be super chic with the right execution. If you don’t believe me, give David Tutera a Rainbow themed wedding challenge and watch what he does with it!! If you love color like I do, then the thought of a 5 tiered rainbow layered wedding cake tickles your insides!
Do you see the fabulosity!? I die for Rainbow Weddings! I flirted briefly with the idea of a Rainbow Wedding in the very beginning but chickened out before I could fully entertain the thought. How in the world would I be able to pull off a Rainbow Wedding? There are so many intricate details to consider and like I said before it has to be done correctly. This sounds like job for a Wedding Planner/Coordinator. Ummmm sorry … not in my budget, so I got over it and moved on. To be honest, I’m still going back and forward on my decision to create my cute little Rainbow Wedding. Now that I’ve done a load of research and glared at hundreds of pictures online, I have a vision for what my perfect Rainbow Wedding would be. I picture an all white reception with splashes of my favorite 5 or 6 colors scatter throughout – single color centerpieces for each table perhaps. Monogramed rainbow M&M’s in white pouches as wedding favors for the guest. A bouqet with assorted tones and last but not least an epic rainbow wedding cake!! I haven’t officially ordered flowers, printed invitations, or solidified any color scheme so I’m still toying with the idea. Please don’t judge my procrastination!! Every so often my mind drifts to thoughts of my very own Rainbow Wedding. You want to know the craziest part?! Somehow, Aloysius is now beginning to entertain the idea. How can I not go forward with a Rainbow plan in place if the Groom approves??! I’ve decided, regardless of whether I can pull off my own Rainbow Wedding this September, by golly, I’m going to photograph one!!
So this is what I’m putting out into the universe for all eyes and ears to see and hear! If you’re planning an amazing 2012 Rainbow Wedding in New York or anywhere else in the world (Yes, I will photograph a Destination Rainbow Wedding too) then we have to get in touch because I would absolutely love to photograph your colorful extravaganza!! I Do’s and Rainbows galore! For the Love of Color … lets do this, please. It would seriously make my day. Seriously.
