Mom-del: Annette Dziamba – New York, NY Lifestyle Photographer

Meet Annette!
She’s represented by FFT Models and Expecting Models in New York and you can see her face on the new special edition “Snuggie” box, available only at J.C. Penny. Annette is not a new mom, but this was her first maternity shoot – She refused to miss out on getting her portraits taken for baby number two. Plus, her agents at Expecting Models needed some new baby bump shots!
I always learn something unexpected and exciting about my clients. In 2004 she landed a role on “The Apprentice” as Donald Trump’s Executive Assistant! She also competed on the reality show “My Big Fat Obnoxious Boss” and won!

This mom is no slacker. She worked hard to get our shots! We decided to go for a mix of commercial images, along with some more traditional maternity portraits. I had a great time working with her, and the proof is in the pictures. I think she’s a very beautiful “mom-del” and I hope to see more of her on TV soon!

Day & Night: Part 2 – New York, NY Lifestyle Photographer

Time to step out of my comfort zone and push my creativity to new levels!
This was a personal challenge to understand and use light in a way I’ve never used it before. A racy outfit and good use of the surrounding elements pull it all together for the look of the Night.

Sexy, Bold and Edgy …

Day & Night: Part 1 – New York, NY Lifestyle Photographer

Here is Part 1 of a two part post …This was a fun day! Well, all shoots are really fun, but this particular day was pretty great because this shoot was about exploring my “creative vision”. I love the process of dreaming up shoots in my mind, styling them and bringing them to life. It’s like, the highest form of creative freedom!

Your style.
Your fingerprint.
Your own perspective on beauty and art from head to toe.

Here is my interpretation of one girl, two looks, “Day & Night” …

Stay tuned for the second half of this post “Night”

Meet Veronica || NYC Headshot Photographer

Veronica is getting ready to start submitting to a few commercial and talent agencies in New York and needed new headshots to begin the process.

One of the most rewarding things about being a photographer to me is not only making everyone look and feel good, but its also being able to actively help those in pursuit of their dreams.

Good Luck Veronica!

Love Affair with Sun Flare – New York, NY Lifestyle Photographer

I love sun flares!

Some photographers would argue that “sun flare” or “lens flare” ruins a perfectly good picture, and there are others who can appreciate its dramatic effect.  Different lenses produce different types of flares varying from super bright to barely there sparkles. Its one of those things which sometimes works in a photo and sometimes doesn’t. Either way, I think its fun to play with the sun and its rays of light. If you catch it just right, you might be surprised at the end result. I think this is just sensational! Don’t you?

introvertimagesllc - Interesting post and I agree that most photographers frown on this technique simply because it can be considered a flaw. I've had success with sun flare especially when experimenting with B&W portraits.

Jasmine E. - Thanks for stopping by to read and taking the time to post your thoughts.

Through my adventures in photography, I've leared that its all subjective to the artistic taste of the photographer, and you most certainly can not please everyone. Its most important to love your work, and have fun doing it. Sun Flares are definitely not all that bad. 🙂

sealionwmn - I love both this image and your analysis of the technique, Jasmine. I was talking with my boyfriend the other day, who could not understand why a sun flare would produce a "fashion" image (looking through some model ports). I feel like you either get it and appreciate it, or you don't. I for one, have always loved the technique when done well, and hope to take some sun-flare pics for my port one day! Great work!
